DMER / MHT-CET-2011 Notification / Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2011

Govt. of Maharashtra shall conduct a single Combined “Common Entrance Test”

MHT-CET-2011 for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses

for the academic year 2011-2012. The Entrance Test will be held on Thursday, 12th

May 2011. Govt. of Maharashtra has appointed Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai as “The Competent Authority for the MHT-CET-2011”. The merit list of the above said examination will be utilized for admission in:

1) Govt./Municipal Corp./ Govt. Aided Colleges and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2011) of Health Sciences degree courses.

2) Govt. / Govt. Aided/University Managed Colleges / University Departments /

Autonomous Colleges including ICT, Mumbai and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2011) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses

3) BVSc & AH degree course.

A single Application form and three Brochures (Health Science, Engineering and

Pharmacy) will be made available from 23/03/2011.

EDCET 2011 Notification Exam Schedule/Dates | Osmania University, Hyderabad

EDCET 2011 Notification

Osmania University Hyderabad EDCET 2011 (Education Common Entrance Test 2011) notification will be released during first or second week of March 2011. But the Date of EDCET 2011 will be announced during last week of December OR first week of January 2011. Admission to B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) course in all university and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted through Edcet. Osmania University has conducted Edcet 2010. It is most likely that Edcet 2011 responsibilities also will be given to OU. APSCHE shall release the schedule very soon. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure and tentative schedule:

Eligibility for EDCET 2011:

Applicants should have passed in B.A./ B.COM./ B.SC./ B.C.A./ B.B.M. They should have secured at least 50 percent marks in qualifying degree of any of the above. Those appearing for their final year examinations of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply for EDCET 2011.

Application Process:

Applications for EDCET 2011 can be submitted through online or offline. Application forms will be made available on EDCET 2011 official website after the release of notification. EDCET 2011 applications will also available at selected branches of Andhra Bank across the state, e-seva centers and Head post offices and post offices located at University campuses.

Important dates:

1. Sale of EDCET 2011 applications at all main post offices, e-seva centers and Andhra Bank branches: Third week of March 2011.

2. Last date for receipt of filled in EDCET 2011 applications: Last week of April 2011.

3. EDCET 2011 Test date: Second / Third week of June 2011.

Eligibility Criteria

For admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS the candidate should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Further, the candidate should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English. However, admissions will be made only on his/her merit position based on the score obtained in BITSAT2011. Only Students who are appearing for 12th class examination in 2011 or who have passed the 12th class examination in 2010 are eligible to appear for BITSAT 2011.

If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2009 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2011. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2011

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test (PET) is for admission to Bachelor in Engineering (B.E.) course in various technical institutes in Madhya Pradesh. Every year many students across Madhya Pradesh appear for Madhya Pradesh PET to get admission in the best engineering institutes in the state. The exam is conducted in various centers in order to provide comfort to the students. The students have to be more conscious about this exam and need to work harder to get admission in the reputed institutes of Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test is an examination conducted by Madhya Pradesh

Professional Examination Board for pursuing various engineering courses. 90% seats in the Government/Aided colleges are reserved for Madhya Pradesh candidates, 5% for Outside MP candidates and 5% for NRIs. For Private Self-financing institutes 75% of seats are reserved for MP candidates, 20% seats for Outside candidates and 5% seats for NRI candidates.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply for this exam. Also a candidate should not be more than 21 years (24 years for SC/ST) on 1st October, 2011.

Those students who are applying for Madhya Pradesh seats should have a Madhya Pradesh domicile for which a candidate should have at least been educated for 3 consecutive years in the last 5 years in an institution in Madhya Pradesh.
