Govt. of Maharashtra shall conduct a single Combined “Common Entrance Test”

MHT-CET-2011 for all Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy degree courses

for the academic year 2011-2012. The Entrance Test will be held on Thursday, 12th

May 2011. Govt. of Maharashtra has appointed Director, Medical Education and Research, Mumbai as “The Competent Authority for the MHT-CET-2011”. The merit list of the above said examination will be utilized for admission in:

1) Govt./Municipal Corp./ Govt. Aided Colleges and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2011) of Health Sciences degree courses.

2) Govt. / Govt. Aided/University Managed Colleges / University Departments /

Autonomous Colleges including ICT, Mumbai and Unaided Private Colleges (who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2011) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses

3) BVSc & AH degree course.

A single Application form and three Brochures (Health Science, Engineering and

Pharmacy) will be made available from 23/03/2011.

EDCET 2011 Notification

Osmania University Hyderabad EDCET 2011 (Education Common Entrance Test 2011) notification will be released during first or second week of March 2011. But the Date of EDCET 2011 will be announced during last week of December OR first week of January 2011. Admission to B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) course in all university and private colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted through Edcet. Osmania University has conducted Edcet 2010. It is most likely that Edcet 2011 responsibilities also will be given to OU. APSCHE shall release the schedule very soon. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure and tentative schedule:

Eligibility for EDCET 2011:

Applicants should have passed in B.A./ B.COM./ B.SC./ B.C.A./ B.B.M. They should have secured at least 50 percent marks in qualifying degree of any of the above. Those appearing for their final year examinations of the qualifying degree are also eligible to apply for EDCET 2011.

Application Process:

Applications for EDCET 2011 can be submitted through online or offline. Application forms will be made available on EDCET 2011 official website after the release of notification. EDCET 2011 applications will also available at selected branches of Andhra Bank across the state, e-seva centers and Head post offices and post offices located at University campuses.
